Sue’s first job as a fishing guide was on the Salmon River in Idaho over 20 years ago.

After a couple of seasons running whitewater, Sue was offered a job guiding fly trips on the South Fork of the Snake. Soon after she became a U.S. Coast Guard captain, guiding saltwater trips in the Florida Keys and Louisiana. Sue won “Idaho Top Guide” at the Jackson Hole One Fly in 2006, posted the largest fish in 2004, and was awarded the Carmichael/Cohen Guide Award in 2014, which recognizes integrity and outstanding achievements in the fly fishing industry.
