The Restaurant

Anglers with a taste for fine dining will be delighted to learn this isn’t the usual fishing lodge fare.  We take food as seriously as we do fishing at South Fork Lodge, serving high-end traditionally “American” cuisine, prepared by chefs who care about quality and creativity.  

Locally sourced scratch cooking inspired by the owner’s love of great food and executed by some of the country’s most renowned chefs.

From the huge and hearty breakfast menu (our biscuits and gravy will change – or end – your life!) to home-style fried chicken, perfectly grilled steaks, blue ribbon BBQ and other culinary wonders you’d not expect at an Idaho fishing retreat, visitors to the lodge are in for three great meals a day.  Lunch is served on the river and dinner is served riverside, family style.  We work hard to make meals at the South Fork Lodge as memorable as the trophy trout.

Machete Bar

There may not be a better lodge bar anywhere in the world than the Machete Bar, situated inside South Fork Lodge in eastern Idaho. From fine spirits that will make any whiskey drinker go weak in the knees to some excellent regionally crafted beer and wine, anglers will come for a drink and stay for the atmosphere.
